Rayong
179 Km to the east of Bangkok, Rayong is the destination. Rayong is located at Easten board of Thailand. The weather is a little warm and humid. The temperature is between 86 F° - 90 F°. The best time to visit is from November to February. Rayong has an extensive coastline stretching for approximately 100 kilometers. The population is about 500000-550000 persons. Rambutan, Mangosteen and Durian are the most famous fruit from Rayong.

Ban Phe:
Ban Phe, 22 kilometers from town, is a busy fishing port and the center of local marine produce. The town of Ban Phe is characterised by narrow streets of shops and houses. It is a stopping off points for tourists en route to the island of Koh Samet. The ferry leaves from Banpe Pier everyday, from 7 am to 5 pm. Speed boat is available from Ban phe Pier to Samet, which costs around 1,000 Baht/Trip ($25/trip). Shop in the main street stock a wide variety of marine produce and many souvenirs and trinkets fashioned from shells of different shades and sizes. Dry seafood is also a good choice for souvenirs. Koh Samet:
Just 4 hours from Bangkok. There is the most well-known attraction of Rayong offers beautiful beaches with charming white sand, strange-shape rocks, suitable relaxation. Koh Samet, blessed as it is with clear blue waters and crystalline sand, a popular vacation spot for Thais and foreigners alike. Because it is only 6 Km.(4 miles) and 3 km (2 miles) wide, most of the island is accessible on foot. The interior’s dense jungle, home to the usual geckos and hornbills, is riddled with trails. Although the island now has some tourist accommodation, when it attained national park status in 1981 all but the most rustic development was halted. In 1990 the park authorities closed Koh samet to overnight visitor but met angry opposition from local residents and businessmen. The island was reopened after four days. The small fishing town which link to Koh Samet to Ban Phe on the mainland, was an ancient checkpoint for Chinese junks. Legend has it that its clam, sheltered waters were once the hunting ground of parties. With the best beach and clearest water on the east coast, a dip in its tranquil waves or a nap on its clean, white sand will satisfy the traveler seeking good old-fashioned relaxation
