Phitsanulok

Phitsanulok is offering beautiful natural sceneries and important historic places. The main attractions here are national parks and temples including one that house the very important Buddha image for Thai people.

Famous Attractions:

Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat:

This temple is the home of large bronze Buddha statue, Phra Phutthachinarat, one of the most beautiful Buddha images in Thailand. Many Thais come to pay respect to Phra Phutthachinarat whenever they travel near by Phitsanulok.

Chat Trakan National Park:

The famous 7-leveled waterfall, Chat Trakan Waterfall, is located here. It has an impressive mountain sight. At the lower level of the waterfall, there are a beach and pond which you can enjoy swimming surrounding by the nature.

Phu Soi Dao National Park:

This park consists of two parts; the first part is the national park office and the lower level of Phu Soi Dao Waterfall. This first part is accessible by cars. The second part is the long unspoiled natural trek leading to the peak of the mountain. If you love the true untouched nature, you must go to the peak. However, the average time from the park office to the peak is around 5-7 hours with steep and difficult trek. Please make sure that you are healthy enough and we are strongly recommended NOT TO BRING CHILDREN on the trek. At the peak is the home of park ranger office, there is a large camping area. Most people need to stay in tents at least a night or two because the walking time consumed. There are no modern conveniences on the camping site, even electrical and clean water. You will see all kinds of wild flowers and plants here. The view is so incredible especially at sunrise or sunset.

Thung Salaeng Luang National Park:

The park occupies approximately 16 square meters. It is a great place to explore the nature with many natural treks.

Rafting:

For people who enjoy exciting activity, whitewater rafting along Kek River is your thing. Taking rafts on the fast-moving stream is a remarkable experience you will love.
