Krabi

814km(505miles) south of Bangkok. The topography of Krabi is mostly mountain and highland. Krabi has become a popular alternative to busy Phuket and PhiPhi ( or at least a stop along the way). The town of Krabi isn’t much to see, but as a centre , everyone ends up here at least for a few minutes. Ferries and minivans from other destinations connect via “songtao” and boats to the nearby beach and tourist strip at Ao Nang and to the farther-flung beaches: Haad Raillay, the famed”climbers beach” with its stunning karst towers, is accessed by boat.

The best time to visit the Krabi area is Nov through April, with Jan and Feb the ideal months. The rainy season runs May through Oct. The temperature is between 13C -37 C ( 58F – 106F ).

Famous Attractions:

Koh Phi Phi:

48 Km southeast from Phuket, 42 km south from Krabi Town and 40 km from Ao Nang Beach. Koh phi phi is one of the most popular destination in south of Thailand. The two Islands look breath-taking beautiful as you approach from the sea, their classic arcs of pure white sand framed by cliffs and lapped and the turquoise water is so clear that the banks of cabbage coral and yellow-striped tiger fish are clearly visible from the surface.

Kho Phi Phi Don:

Would itself be two islands were it not for the tenuous plam-fringed stunningly symmetrical double bays of Ao Ton Sai ti the south and Ao lah Dalum to the north so steep is the smaller western half that the tiny population lives in isolated clusters across the slopes of the densely vegetated eastern stretch, while the tourist bungalows stick mainly to the intervening sandy flats, with a few developments on the beaches fringing the cliffs east and north of the isthmus

Haad Rai Lay and Haad Phra Nang:

These areas are perfect places for both beach lovers and climbers. You can stroll through the forest and cave, and explore mountains. Hat Rai Lay also offers peaceful beaches for relax, especially the beach in Rai Lay West which called “sunset beach” has detailed white sand and beautiful scenery.

Ao Nang:

Ao Nang is accessible by car and travelers have many choices of accommodations. The atmosphere is a completely different and not as impressive as either secluded Rai Lay or Phang-Nga. But the view of the blue oceans and white sands between overhanging cliffs is spectacular sight. Boardwalk is a perfect for roaming the beach. And also there are many brightly colored shops along the main street and you can stroll around the town.

Koh Lanta Yai:

Koh Lanta Yai still has undeveloped nature. The beauty of white sandy beach, dazzling sun, and uninterrupted lucent sea water are beyond description. Get away from the bustle of everyday life and enjoy untouched nature. Koh Lanta Yai provides a perfect graceful time.
