Would it be save to travel after the Coup Situation?

Due to the coup on Sep 19, 2006, people around the world had seen from the news that there were troops, tanks, and soldiers handling rifles and weapons walking down the streets and everywhere in Thailand. There were worries from the outsiders that it would have been disturbance and sanguinary of the seizing the power by the military. The martial law was announced and the curfew was promulgated. However, no one saw blood and death but smile and hospitality. What you would have not been imagined otherwhere else in the world were the scenes of the Thais and the tourists taking pictures with the troops and the tanks engaged in the areas especially along Ratchadumneon Road to the Parliament. They handled them foods and drinks, and encouraged them with flowers and presents. There was no smell of rampage at all. Mr. Surayuth Churanon, appointed the Prime Ministe, has definitely been accepted from Thais for his royalty to the King and the country, and his devotion to Thai people. Due to the non-violence of the overthrow the government, travelers have no need to be afraid of visiting Thailand. Although there has been uncertainty of political issues, Thailand today is still the place you can seek for calm and peaceful as it has ever been.

Please come and experience Thai unique cultures. You will never forget the beauty of Thai smiles when you are miles away.
